Psalm 82:2-4
How long will you judge unjustly
And show partiality to the wicked?
Selah.
Vindicate the weak and fatherless;
Do justice to the afflicted and destitute.
Rescue the weak and needy;
Deliver them out of the hand of the wicked.

Proverbs 31:8-9
Open your mouth for the mute,
For the rights of all the unfortunate.
Open your mouth, judge righteously,
And defend the rights of the afflicted and needy.

Ezekiel 7:27
"'According to their conduct I will deal with them, and by their judgments I will judge them. And they will know that I am the Lord.'"

Hebrews 10:30
For we know Him who said, "Vengeance is Mine, I will repay." And again, "The Lord will judge His people." It is a terrifying thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

Honorable Judge Greer,

As a citizen of the US and as a concerned human being, I ask you urgently to reconsider the case of Terry Schiavo. By your order she faces painful death by starvation, based on the testimony of her husband who has demonstrated his unfaithfulness to her and who has a financial interest in her death.

This killing is rationalized by the claim that Terry is unconscious, and has no hope of improvement in her state of health -- despite convincing and abundant testimony from nurses who have attended her, doctors who have evaluated her condition, and her family who have observed her responses.

Courts of law exist by God's authority (Romans 13:1 - "there is no authority except from God, and those that exist are established by God") to decide between those are in the right and those who are in the wrong, and to protect the weak from those with the power and intent to do them harm. (See Ps. 82, Prov. 31 above.)

But in this case, the court is enabling Michael Schiavo, and his lawyer, to work out their evil agendas by killing Terry. God will not leave the wicked unpunished -- neither the murderer nor the unrighteous judge. See Ezek. 7, Heb. 10 above.

Justice will be done. I entreat you to be the instrument of justice now, rather than the recipient of it later. Let our nation, our government, be a defender of the defenseless, rather than a casual killer. I do not want to my country to become that kind of nation, nor do I wish to share in the consequences.

Sincerely,

Lars Huttar
